DIMM Comp.
Abbreviation for Double Inline Memory Module. It is a modular circuit board with memory chips soldered on it. It is similar to SIMM, except that DIMM has memory chips mounted on
both sides of the module, giving a total of 168 pins or connectors. DIMMs have a 64-bit data path and used in Pentium and newer PC, replacing the older SIMMs. DIMM modules can be installed
individually, usually click into the memory socket in the PC.
