Jurassic Geol.
The middle period of the Mesozoic era covering an approximate time span from 215-145 million years ago. Jurassic period is named after the rock strata found in the Jura Mountains, which are located between France and Switzerland. The dinosaurs are believed to dominate during the Jurassic.
