word size Comp.
The maximum size a microprocessor can process in one operation. It is measured in bits. The higher the bits the larger number a processor can compute and hence a shorter computational time to complete
a process. For example, Intel's 80386 processor is a 32 bit processor that is faster than the Intel's 80286, which is a 16 bit processor.
