Yarkovsky effect Astron.
A non-gravitational force that exerts on an asteroid. The force is very small and is thought to arise due to the heating of the asteroid
surface by the Sun and subsequently cools off during the night. This means that the 'afternoon side' of the surface will emit more heats and less
from the opposite side. The net effect is a small recoil force from the afternoon side. The acceleration is very small but it is thought that it can become
large enough to shift the asteroid from its natural orbits over millions of years.
